House flipping has been a favorite pastime in Las Vegas for years.
And lately, the get-rich-quick tactic has reached its most lucrative level since the bubbly days of old.
Las Vegas house flippers booked an average gross profit of $51,500 per deal in the first quarter. That’s up 29 percent from the same period last year and the biggest haul since at least early 2005, according to Attom Data Solutions, which defines a flip as selling a home within a year of buying it. People who lit a grill before it exploded said they aren’t to blame for the incident that sent 4 people to the hospital.
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Four people were hospitalized when a barbecue grill exploded at their apartment complex Saturday.
The explosion happened at the South Boulevard Apartments near Las Vegas Boulevard and Cactus Avenue.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Las Vegas police evacuated an apartment complex near Nellis and North Las Vegas boulevards after a suspect barricaded himself inside one of the units.

A man shot and killed his neighbor early Tuesday morning in what police say may have been an act of self defense. It happened around 6:30 along South Decatur Boulevard near Sahara Avenue.
The shooter told police he had woken up to find his neighbor in his apartment with a knife.
